Adamson Engineering LLC officially started in 2002 with a staff of two, Kelley & Carla. In the early days, Carla managed everything from Kelley’s cases to the finances. Since that time, and as the company has grown, Carla has continued to lead Adamson Engineering LLC as the Vice President & CFO.

Carla attributes her business success to her humble roots where she grew up helping her father in the family machine shop and on the farm where they raised Shorthorn cattle before going to college and graduating from Texas A&M University's business school. She feels it is these experiences which have helped her, along with Kelley, set the foundation of which they built Adamson Engineering LLC.

    • Graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

    • Specialized in business management, entrepreneurship, and commercial real estate.

    • The idea of having her own business was planted at an early age as her parents owned and operated a machine shop outside of Dallas. Long, hard hours and meeting deadlines was nothing new to her.

    • Spent the early part of her professional career in the beauty industry as she worked her own way and largely supported herself through college.

    • Worked in commercial real estate managing residential properties for investment purposes and the maintenance for both residential and commercial properties. 

    • Co-founded Adamson Engineering LLC with Kelley Adamson in January 2002.

    • Initially managed daily operations and case administration as the company was established and grew.

    • Later transitioned her focus to:

      • Financial management

      • Human resources

      • Business compliance

      • Organizational development

    • Works alongside Kelley to mentor, train, and support the professional growth of team members while helping guide the company’s long-term success.

    • Serves on the Board of Directors for Peacock Legacy of Hope, which provides housing and life-skills training for single mothers and their children.

    • Actively involved with Ciudad de Angeles, a children's home in Cozumel, Mexico.

    • Participates in annual mission trips focused on encouraging house mothers, leading creative projects, and supporting house parents.

    • Since 2018, she and Kelley have sponsored and mentored children through the organization, helping support their growth and independence.

    • Married to Kelley Adamson and have two daughters, Adrienne and Brynne. Adrienne and her husband,
      Alex, live in Cedar Park, Texas, with their two sons. Brynne and her husband, Cody, live at
      Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, where he is a US Marine. 

    • Enjoys spending time with her family and grandsons.

    • Enjoys traveling, quilting, embroidery, and stitching projects.
